Solid State Relays

Here's one design for an SSR. It's very simple and so may not be applicable for a number of output devices. There is no snubber circuit so it may or may not work well with motors and other inductive loads.

In the above schematic triac used is a Teccor Q401E3 which has a rating of just 1A. You can replace it with just about any triac of any rating.
